Words From the President
The sole goal of the Israel Central Committee for Taharat HaMishpacha: there should be no corner in Eretz Yisrael without a mikveh.
The word mikveh is not from the word “purity,” but rather from word “commandment.” The founders of the organization and Gedolei Yisrael saw this as a true commandment – an essential mission tied to the continued existence of Am Yisrael and for building an eternal nation. They were extremely dedicated to the cause and instilled this as a fundamental principle of the organization.
Our teacher, HaGaon HaGadol HaRav Avrohom Genichovsky, zt’l, always reminded us to focus on that one goal: no corner of Eretz Yisrael should be without a mikveh.
This is our guiding principle, influencing all of the organization’s annual activities of building, remodeling and dedicating mikvaot.
In every town of Eretz Yisrael, mikvaot are being constructed in accordance with the finest halachic and physical standards. Using a breadth of knowledge and expertise, these mikvaot are being constructed, updated and maintained for the sole purpose of encouraging the observance of taharat hamishpacha with joy and thoroughness in every home in Eretz Yisrael.
Baruch Hashem, we are able to spread the light, with Siyatta D’shmaya, and continue doing this important work. Many places still lack mikvaot and too many mikvaot require repair and attention.
We turn to you with a request, from deep in our hearts, that you join our great work and be our partners in building for eternity.
With great friendship and appreciation,
HaRav Chaim Levy, President of the Israel Central Committee for TaharatHaMishpacha
